Born in Switzerland, I immigrated to Canada in 1990.
A need to address my own chronic digestive illness, during my teenage years, led to my interest in alternative medicine. Conventional medical treatments had not been useful and, consequently, I began to explore the fields of nutrition, homeopathy and herbology. I benefited from the application of this research, which encouraged me to further my studies.
In 2008, I began formal studies through the Reflexology Association of Canada (RAC) initially for Foot Reflexology and then also for Hand. Part-way through these studies, I had the opportunity to initiate my study of Cranio-Sacral Reflexology with Dr. Martine Faure-Alderson, founder of the RTTFA School of Reflexology in Paris. This experience allowed me to treat my mother, who had suffered a stroke, and the results were astounding! Consequently, Cranio-Sacral Reflexology became central to my practice. In 2017, I completed the RTTFA studies with Ildiko Zambo. In my reflexology practice, I use three protocols: basic cranio-sacral, lymphatic and cardio-vascular protocol to better assist my clients.
Also in 2008, my interest in Reiki led me to in depth studies that continued through to 2016. The courses during these years included Reiki Level 1 & 2, Holy Reiki Basic and Advanced 1 & 2, Usui Reiki Crystal Healing 1 & 2 and Intermediate 1 & 2 Drum and Sound Healing.
I have continued to expand my knowledge and practice techniques by completing the following workshops:
“Plantar Fasciitis Prevention & Protocol” with Karen Ball of the Academy of Ancient Reflexology,
“Say Goodbye to Headaches” with Karen Ball of the Academy of Ancient Reflexology,
“Whiplash” with Dr. Martine Faure-Alderson of Cranio-Sacral Reflexology International Academy of Excellence
“Reflexotherapy of the Feet” with Hanne Marquardt,
“Therapeutic Touch” Levels 1 & 2 with Susan Hamilton,
“Huiles Essentielles du Québec et Leur Utilisation en Réflexolgie Plantaire” with Alain Simard,
“Traditional Chinese Medicine and the 5-Elements” with Ines Hardtke,
Currently, I work part-time at the Oriental Medical Care Acupuncture Clinic in Alexandria, Ontario with Dr. Wen Shu Teng. There I perform several duties including Reflexology, Acupressure, Cupping, Reiki, Drum and Sound Healing and Crystal Healing.
